Last month, the AI Asia Pacific Institute hosted a workshop at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), with the participation of The Asia Foundation and ThetaRay. The workshop explored perspectives on the overarching challenges that AI poses and its implication for cyber policies and the information ecosystem – beyond the algorithmic security challenges.
The discussion covered privacy issues, biases, and discrimination, as well as regulatory principles for automated decision-making machines. The dialogue expanded to reflect on perspectives from the Asia Pacific and the Middle East regions.
