Advisory Board Announcement

The AI Asia Pacific Institute (AIAPI) is pleased to announce the following new appointments to its Board of Advisors. 

Dr Peter Brimble is a private-sector development specialist who has worked over the past 35 years on industrial and technological development, foreign investment, public-private dialogue, and government policy issues in Central, South-East, and North Asia. He has led programs on private sector development, public-private partnerships, contributions of business to social development, and business environment reforms in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and beyond. 

Yaron Hazan has over 20 years of diverse and broad experience in financial crime investigations. He has vast experience in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing, with extensive knowledge in world-class standards across the financial sector. Yaron leads ThetaRay, a leading provider of AI-powered technology for financial crime prevention, business in the Gulf region, focusing on the UAE and Bahrain. Through this work, Yaron has gained unique experience in the practical implementation of AI solutions in a regulated industry.

Dr Peter and Yaron join the rest of the advisory team, Dr David Hardoon, Vincent Vuillard, Philippa Penfold, Barbara Erskine, Byoungchan (Ben) Eum, May Leng Kwok, Janet Wong, Dr Wendy Bonython, and Leesa Soulodre in advancing the AIAPI’s mission.

Their expertise spans from the financial industry to the future of work. Their collective knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we work to achieve our mission of addressing the social, legal, and ethical risks of artificial intelligence to advance its potential to build a sustainable world.
