Two Workshops on the Emerging Policy Approaches to Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in ASEAN took place online on 5 and 7 December. They were held in collaboration with the Science and Technology Division of the ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI), ASEAN-USAID Inclusive Growth in ASEAN Through Innovation, and the ASEAN-USAID IGNITE Trade and e-Commerce project.
The project has contracted the AI Asia Pacific Institute to prepare the Discussion Paper on the Responsible Development and Use of Generative AI in ASEAN, and the discussions in the Workshops will feed into the final draft of the Discussion Paper in early 2024.
